Scholarships Overview
Give a Deserving Student a Priceless Opportunity
Without the generous support of donors like you, many students would have fewer opportunities to discover their potential.
Evergreen offers a variety of scholarships and tuition awards and encourages all students to consider applying for scholarships as a way to assist with educational expenses.

Art of Living
Love food? Love art? Love doing good?
October 11, 2009
A celebration of fine art, gourmet cuisine, and community spirit – our premiere event to benefit student scholarships, and spotlight the newly renovated Evergreen Gallery as a center for art in Olympia and the surrounding region.
A full-course brunch will be served made from locally sourced, organic ingredients grown and prepared by our accomplished alumni and friends. You are invited to feast on delectable treats from numerous area farms, restaurants, bakeries, wineries, brewers, coffee roasters and more.
Byron Youtz Scholarship

"My children and I agreed that a scholarship would be by far the most appropriate use of a contribution."
– Bernice Youtz
The scholarship is in memory of Byron Youtz, one of Evergreen's founding faculty members. He came to the college because of his commitment to a quality, affordable liberal arts education for students after teaching stints at the American University in Beirut, Reed College and the State University of New York at Old Westbury, where he served as provost. His wife Bernice established the Byron Youtz Memorial Endowed Scholarship in 1992 after her husband's passing.
Graduate Fellowship

Graduate fellowships make it possible to recruit and retain the best students in the country. You can make a one-time contribution, give annually or fund a fellowship in perpetuity with an endowment gift of $50,000.
Jackie Robinson Scholarship
The Seattle Central Community College Jackie Robinson Scholarship
Offered to new transfer and currently enrolled students of color (African American, Asian, Hispanic, Native American) who transferred from Seattle Central Community College with 90 credits or a direct transfer, or acceptance into the Evergreen Upside Down Degree Program.
Established in 1988 by Evergreen faculty member Patrick Hill and his wife Maureen, the scholarship is awarded to and recognizes students who have demonstrated the ideals of Jackie Robinson through all of his athletic endeavors, and have distinguished themselves through their academic achievement and outstanding commitment to community involvement and social justice.
Each year, recipients are recognized by the Seattle Mariners at Safeco Field during a pregame ceremony at home plate.
The Sue Crystal Memorial Fellowship
The Sue Crystal Memorial Fellowship will go to students of the Evergreen Master of Public Administration Tribal Governance program wishing to pursue a career in health policy. This will include student tuition as well as stipends for student projects.
