Support Student Activity Grants
Stewarding Nisqually Watershed
Evergreen student Bridgid Cummins, used a Student Activity Grant provided by private donors like you to produce a film for the Nisqually River Education Project, which provides hundreds of students real world experience monitoring and stewarding the Nisqually River.
The film follows the path of the Nisqually River and demonstrates water quality testing and why water quality is so important. Watch Nisqually River from the Glacier to the Sound
“I am using newly acquired skills in film editing, what I have learned about natural history, quantitative data analysis, scientific testing, importance of history and place, and visual arts in this process. Tacoma Program
Evergreen's Tacoma program is committed to providing junior and senior-level students with an interdisciplinary, reality-based, community-responsive liberal arts education. The unique inner-city location combined with a curriculum that integrates students' life experiences and goals with an emphasis on diverse cultural perspectives provides a unique opportunity for students to go into local communities and engage in research, education and problem-solving projects that are as beneficial to those communities as they are to students. Gifts to the Tacoma Annual Fund go toward providing student scholarships for students enrolled at the Tacoma Campus.
